Blossom Everywhere was composed and recorded during long periods of isolation in 2020. Asymmetrical generative melodies, tones, atmospheres, with percussive cut-ups and samples, the results of long listening sessions, making slow changes in patches and then editing. Moments of inspiration come also from Gail Laughton's 1969 album "Harps of the Ancient Temples" — imagining lost themes for ancient societies. The attempt for these recordings was to treat the synthesizer as a soloist instrument, not as a replacement for multiple voices or multitrack songwriting.

It took me a few listens to “get” this, even though it exists in a musical community I think of as relatively familiar. But there is something about “~~~” that feels a part of my own existence, even though there is no overlap between this artist’s life and my own. This is maybe where the magic is...a cosmic voice of sorts that shows us we originate from the same dust and answer to the same call. bzztm-bzztj
